Appointment to various teaching and non-teaching positions at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, P.M.B. 5047, Port Harcourt, is hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates.
Administrative Officer I: i. To be appointed
Administrative Officer I, a candidate must have a good honors university
degree from a recognized university, preferably in the Humanities or Social
Sciences, with at least a 2nd Class Honours (Lower) Division and must have
completed the NYSC (where applicable).
ii. The candidate must have demonstrated proficiency in
both oral and written English.
iii. The candidate must have at least three (3) years of
on-the-job administrative experience, as well as a satisfactory confidential
report from previous employers, or a Master's degree in a relevant field.
iv. The applicant must be computer literate.
Administrative
Officer 2:
(a) To be appointed Administrative Officer 2, a
candidate must have a good honors university degree from a recognized
university, preferably in the Humanities or Social Sciences, with at least a
2nd Class (Lower) Division and must have completed the NYSC (where applicable).
(b) The applicant must be computer literate.
Chief Executive Officer
In order to be appointed Executive Officer, a
Candidate must hold an NCE/Diploma/OND in relevant disciplines, preferably in
the Humanities or Social Sciences, from a recognized institution.
(ii) Computer literacy is required.
I am the Confidential Secretary.
A Candidate must have any of the following
qualifications to be appointed Confidential Secretary I:
i. A university degree in secretarial studies plus a
certificate of discharge/exemption from the NYSC.
ii. Three (3) years of post-qualification experience is
required.
iii. HND in Secretarial Administration in addition to a certificate
of discharge/exemption and three (3) years post-qualification
iv. The applicant must be computer literate.
SERVICE
CONDITIONS
All successful candidates will be on probation for two
(2) years after taking on duties, after which they will retire at the age of 65
or 70 for those on the Professorial cadre. Other conditions are comparable to
those found in other Nigerian institutions of higher learning. People over the
age of 50 are not eligible to apply.
