Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo  demolished a building in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area on Friday, used by kidnappers in housing their victims...

However, the  uncompleted three rooms structure was been crushed down  on Friday, after a joint security group raged it for more operation.

According to Daily Post, Security specialists following up on the information provided by a captured gang member  had last week raged the building and saved three kidnap victims , including a priest of the Catholic Church, while also reclaiming the minister's SUV and killing one of the thought criminals.

The activity which was seen by DAILY POST saw the recuperation of charms, items  thought to be belonging to the  past kidnap victims also a  shrine utilized for the stronghold (fortification) of the hoodlums was also  demolished.

During the operational activity, two additional suspects were also captured, including a native doctor  who was suspected working with the hoodlums.

In the mean time, Prof Soludo who later  addressed journalist  at the Governor's Lodge, Amawbia, said the destruction was in accordance with the express government's arrangement that any property used to sustain guiltiness will either be seized or demolished.

Soludo acclaim the effort of the State Joint Security Task Force, saying the destruction exercise would act as an impediment to different criminals.

He said:

“We have made it part of our policy that any property used for criminal purposes in Anambra will be demolished. That building demolished was being used as a den for criminal activities, and the government’s policy will not allow any criminality to reign in the state.

Henceforth, criminals will have no place in any part of Anambra State. I assure you that this government is fully determined to ensure that the state is safe for everyone, and that people can move freely around without fear or molestation.”

He also applauded the cooperation by some people in the state who have been volunteering information, adding that every stranger is suspicious until his or her job is confirmed to be legitimate.

He also appealed to the people to be security conscious at all time, urging that they should always report strange and criminals operating in their communities to security agencies
